WATCH: TAN Is Full Of Adrenaline In Explosive “HYPERTONIC” MV

Boy group TAN has returned with their first studio album, titled W SERIES ‘3TAN’ (WORLD Ver.), on March 28th at 6 p.m. KST.

The title track “HYPERTONIC” is an electro-funk pop song with a rhythmic bass line and rich synth sounds. Meanwhile, the lyrics describe the feeling of being hypertonic — a state of abnormally high tension.

It is believed to be the final work of late iconic K-pop producer Shinsadong Tiger who sadly passed away in February. TAN member Jaejun was particularly close with the producer, having worked with him for several years on music for TAN and his previous group, TREI.

Jaejun participated in the writing and composing of “HYPERTONIC” alongside former TREI and JT&Marcus teammate Juntae and Jacob Aaron of THE HUB. Noerio and THE HUB 88 (both from THE HUB) worked on the composition, while lyricist jelly and TAN’s Jiseong round off the track’s lyrical credits.

As expected from the group that was formed from MBC’s survival program “Wild Idol,” the music video for “HYPERTONIC” continues to showcase TAN’s dynamic performance skills and strong athletic visuals.

Notably, the members all participated in creating the nine songs on W SERIES ‘3TAN’ (WORLD Ver.), further displaying their production capabilities.

Since their 2022 debut, TAN has consistently been praised by fans and non-fans alike for their nostalgic K-pop sound that is reminiscent of second-generation groups and this release is no exception!
