Eric Nam To Make Hollywood Acting Debut In Upcoming Psychological Thriller “Transplant”

Eric Nam has landed a starring role in the Hollywood feature film, “Transplant”!

In the psychological thriller, Nam plays surgical resident Jonah Yoon who is at the top of his field. His mentor is Dr. Edward Harmon, a renowned heart transplant surgeon obsessed with protecting his perfect reputation. The role is played by actor Bill Camp.

The movie is produced by Significant Productions, the joint venture of multi-award-winning actor Forest Whitaker and BAFTA-nominated, Asian-American film producer Nina Yang Bongiovi. The production company is dedicated to creating content showcasing diversity both on screen and behind the camera, and representation is something about which Eric Nam has always been quite vocal.

Since relocating back to the States in recent years, Eric’s career has continued to soar. The singer-songwriter, along with his brothers Eddie and Brian, co-founded the incredibly successful DIVE STUDIOS and its mental health podcast app, MINDSET.

Eric Nam has never shied away from revealing his acting ambitions over the years. In 2015, on the KBS variety show “A Song For You,” he shared his desire to be in an American TV series or movie. He revealed that he auditioned for famous dramas in the U.S and made it to the top two or three in the audition process. However, the roles ended up going to more prominent actors.

Later that same year, he was cast in a Hollywood film. Instead, Nam opted to stay in Seoul to promote his album as he felt it was more important to get his name out in South Korea. Even back then, Eric stated that if the opportunity arose, he would return to the States full-time for his career. As such, it’s incredible to see all those dreams now come to fruition.

Eric Nam heads back on the road in September with hisThere And Back Again” World Tour. He confirmed on his Twitter account that the “Transplant” role was in fact the reason for rescheduling some Australian and New Zealand shows by a few months.

So far, no release date has been set for the film. However, production is said to have already wrapped up in LA. We offer a hearty congratulations to Eric Nam and are looking forward to seeing him on the big screen soon!
