From Grim reaper to Gumiho, Lee Dong Wook is set to play another fantastical creature— a nine-tailed fox— in his upcoming fantasy drama, “Tale Of The Nine-Tailed.”
tvN has finally released photos from the first script reading of “Tale Of The Nine-Tailed” starring Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo Ah, and Kim Bum. It will be directed by Kang Shin Hyo and written by Han Woo Ri.
Lee Dong Wook plays a male gumiho named Yi Yeon who serves as a link between this world and the underworld in this urban fantasy drama. On the other hand, Jo Bo Ah will portray a fearless producing director (PD) determined to find a gumiho for her television program on supernatural entities.
Meanwhile, Kim Bum will be playing the role of Yi Rang, Yi Yeon’s half brother who might be serving as the antagonist to the story. This is Kim Bum’s first drama since his mandatory military enlistment.
Other characters in the cast include Kim Yong Ji (playing Yoo Ri), Hwang Hee (playing Shin Joo), Kim Jung Nan (playing Pal Eui Pa), and Ahn Kil Kang (playing Hyun Eui Ong).
tvN also shared a video of the script reading on the official tvN DRAMA YouTube channel. You can check it out below:
The drama is set to air in October of 2020. Meanwhile, the production team expressed that the show “will be like an oasis for viewers who are looking for something new.” We wish the cast and crew success on their project!
