Energetic rookie group DONGKIZ is back with a more mature concept this time!
On March 12th at 12 p.m. KST, the Dongyo Entertainment boy group released the stylish music video for their second digital single, “Lupin.”
The MV sees the five members putting on their detective hats (both literally and figuratively) as they gather up clues in order to solve a mystery, all while showcasing their masculine charms.
This is a new side of DONGKIZ we are seeing, as the group has mostly shown cute sides of themselves in their music video concepts thus far. “Lupin,” however, throws all that out the window with its strong, charismatic aesthetics, fancy footwork, and knife-like choreography.
Much like the group’s November 2019 release “Fever,” which saw the boys incorporating Heelys into their performance, this time they use canes as their prop of choice for that extra dash of sophistication.
Don’t be too distracted by the visuals on display, the song itself is just as appealing.
“Lupin” is an exciting and heavy dance track that opens with a catchy electric disco/funk guitar riff, which is somewhat of a signature for a DONGKIZ song.
The members’ powerful and distinctive vocals further heighten the polished nature of the track’s sound, mirroring the growth we are seeing from the group’s more matured image.
DONGKIZ’s second digital single LUPIN will be available on all streaming platforms on March 15th at noon KST.
