Soloist Kei (Kim Jiyeon) is officially here!
On October 8th at 6 p.m. KST, Lovelyz member Kei took her first steps as a solo artist. Using her real name, Kim Jiyeon, she released a solo album and the music video for her main single, “I Go.”
While Kei (Kim Jiyeon) has previously collaborated with other artists and recorded for OSTs and digital tracks, this project is her first official venture where she will truly be promoting alone.
According to the idol, she gravitated towards “I Go” because the song’s positive message appealed to her. Co-written by Junzo and ARRAN and co-composed by Junzo and TAK, the lyrics contain reassuring words about finding comfort during the times when things feel bleak and tiring.
Her first mini-album is called Over and Over which, according to her agency, stands for Kei (Kim Jiyeon)’s persistence in trying to improve herself as an artist. It features six new tracks in total for fans to enjoy.
Kei (Kim Jiyeon) debuted as the main vocal of Lovelyz under Woollim Entertainment back in 2014.
