 WATCH: Trailer Released For Song Joong Ki’s New Drama ”Arthdal Chronicles”

Great news Song Joong Ki fans! He will soon be back on television with his newest drama, ”Arthdal Chronicles”!

Arthdal Chronicles” is spearheaded by the director of the hit television series ”Signal” and ”Misaeng,” as well as the genius writers of ”Jewel in the Palace” and ”The Great Queen Seondeok.”

”Arthdal Chronicles” is a historical fantasy romance set in an ancient era in the land of Arthdal.

Song Joong Ki takes on the lead role of Eun Seom, born in the Blue Stone Village, who was cursed to bring disaster to Arthdal. He wants to free the city from its power struggle and tyranny. The star-studded cast also includes Jang Dong Gun plays Ta Gon, a war hero of Arthdal and the most powerful person in the land. His ambition is to become the first king of Arthdal.

Meanwhile, Kim Ji Won plays Tan Ya, the successor of the Wahan Tribe and someone who shares the same fate with Eun Seom. Her dream is to become one of the politicians in the land of Arthdal. She is also Eun Seom’s first love and Ta Gon’s love interest. Kim Ok Vin, who plays Tae Al Ha, comes from the race different from humans and becomes the first Empress of Arthdal.

Arthdal Chronicles” will be divided into three parts consisting of six episodes each— a total of eighteen episodes.

This drama is the reunion project of Kim Ji Won and Song Joong Ki who previously worked together on ”Descendants of the Sun.”

It is set to premier on June 1st on tvN and Netflix and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 KST.
