10 Records That BTS Slayed With “DNA”

Amidst the comebacks this September, BTS is making headlines with their latest title track “DNA”! Released on their fifth mini-album, Love Yourself: Her, the new song (and album) has been claiming records left and right! Despite leaks before its release on September 18th, the group did not falter.

What has the Billboard-holder earned in the first 24 hours of release?

1. Fastest Kpop artist to reach 10 million views on YouTube (also with 1 million likes!)

Not only that— BTS trended first on YouTube in several countries!

2. Bringing home a YouTube-record of 21 million views in 24 hours

As of 24 hours since its release, BTS had racked up a total of 21 million views!

They also claimed the fastest Kpop artist to reach 20 million views on YouTube!

3. Beating the 22-hour-and-47-minute record of 100k+ likes on MelOn

They even got themselves an all-kill on MelOn!

4. Earning their rightful spot on Spotify’s Global Top 50 Chart

5. Topping iTunes’s album charts in 73 countries and song charts in 29!

Don’t forget their first-place spot on iTunes’s song and album charts worldwide!

6. Dominating Twitter’s list of Worldwide Trends, Popular Articles, and Twitter Moments

7. Claiming 2nd on Amazon’s Best-Sellers for Top Digital Albums

8. Becoming the 1st Kpop group to dominate iTunes’s album chart in the UK

9. Becoming the 1st Kpop group to make Canada’s TOP 10 and play on mainstream radio

10. Becoming the 1st Kpop group to earn the highest number of combined album sales in a day, sales on any day, & weekly sales on Hanteo (and 4th on their yearly chart!)

They broke 10 records, all in one day!  It seems like BTS is definitely out to conquer, aren’t they? The number of records for their first day of release was killer after their 1 million pre-orders of Love Yourself— not including international sales!
