Lee Jong Suk has received his enlistment letter for August.
About a week ago, news reports hinted of his upcoming enlistment, but his agency, YG Entertainment, subsequently commented that it was unconfirmed. On July 28th KST, Lee Jong Suk announced that he was supposed to report for duty on August 10th.
The well-known YG actor was scheduled to film in the second half of 2017, but with his enlistment set, Lee Jong Suk will be unable to join Park Hoon Jung’s new movie “Witch.” His upcoming film “V.I.P.” (also Park Hoon Jung’s work) is scheduled for release in August as well. In addition, he is supposed to have a new drama that finishes filming on the 27th and is entitled “While You Were Sleeping” and co-stars Suzy of Miss A.
Due to the fact that Lee Jong Suk is not yet 30, he is eligible to ask for a delay in order to finish his ongoing projects. A decision will be announced by at the beginning of August.
Lee Jong Suk plans to work in public service.
