WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon To Fill In For Cho Kyuhyun On “Radio Star”

WINNER‘s Kang Seung Yoon will soon be replacing Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun on the hit show “Radio Star”— temporarily at least!

On May 11th, it was announced that the WINNER star would be a temporary host when Kyuhyun leaves for the military. Who would become the next cast member has been a hot topic as Kyuhyun’s enlistment has been approaching. It appears that the show will cast temporary hosts in order to see who fits best with the other cast members, with Kang Seung Yoon being first on the list.

Although some people felt original MC Shin Jung Hwan would be the best addition to the cast, his return to the Korean entertainment industry is too recent in the opinion of many. After a massive scandal in 2011, he retired from the public eye and has been living a reclusive life until recently, when he was signed to a new label and made the decision to return to the entertainment industry. Talk of him returning to “Radio Star” seemed to be the motivation for his sudden return to the industry, but it seems the public isn’t quite ready to forgive and forget— leading the popular show to try temporary hosts in the meantime.

Do you think Kang Seung Yoon will be a good fit for the show? Do you think he will be able to hold his own against the other MCs, including the infamously snarky Kim Gura? Let us know in the comment section below!
