The enlistment date for Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun has been confirmed!
On April 25th KST, SMTOWN made an announcement, stating that the popular singer would be enlisting on May 25th at the Nonsan Army Training Center. After basic training, he will become a public service worker.
As the youngest in the group, Kyuhyun is the final Super Junior member to enlist. Leeteuk, Kangin, Yesung, Heechul, Sungmin, and Shindong have all completed their service. Meanwhile, Donghae, Siwon, Eunhyuk, and Ryeowook are currently in the military.
Apart from being a member of Super Junior, Kyuhyun is a famous soloist and entertainer. He is one of four MCs on “Radio Star”— one of the highest-ranking variety programs in South Korea. Although there has been talk about who will replace him, the official announcement of his enlistment date has set netizens buzzing. Most fans of the show seem to want fellow member Heechul to take his place, due to the fact he was a “Radio Star” MC before and is a rising star in the variety world right now.
Meanwhile, Kyuhyun has recently been on a solo tour throughout Asia and connecting with fans once more before he heads to the military.
We wish Kyuhyun the best of luck during his time in the military!
